In a bid to help partner hospitals cope up with the recent surge of Covid-19 cases in the province, the City Government of Malaybalay through the initiative of Mayor Florencio T. Flores, Jr., donated various medical supplies and kits to Bukidnon Provincial Medical Center (BPMC) and Bethel Baptist Hospital (BBH).

The combined medical support worth PHP 675,000 was delivered on July 14, 2021 represented through the medical personnel of the City Health Office headed by Dr. Dennis P. Sangalang.

Representatives of the said hospitals who received the items were ever grateful for the strong support of Mayor Flores in this noble feat to treat and care patients infected with Covid-19.

Since June, the City Government has already donated units of high flow nasal cannula device and accessories, one at BPMC and two at BBH with Php 1 million cash assistance intended for purchase of medical drugs to confirmed patients.

Mayor Flores has been relentless in his efforts and initiatives to help and save many lives as possible in whatever capacity and capability to respond the priority needs of medical frontliners. He also urged vulnerable sectors, particularly senior citizens to get vaccinated so that they will be protected by this deadly virus.

Based on the quick update status of Covid-19 cases, the City has recorded 92 active cases as of July 13, 2021, while it has reached to 168 in June 7.
