In support of the national government’s effort geared towards the road to herd immunity, the vaccination team begins its first day of inoculation open for the public known as, “Rest of Adult Population (ROAP)” on October 18, 2021.

The City Health Office (CHO) has announced the first rollout of ROAP vaccination that runs from October 18 to 22, administering doses of Moderna vaccine for Malaybalay residents aged 18 years old and above held at Enhanced Sreening Area (ESA), Brgy 4.18

However, it was emphasized by CHO that sectors consist of A1 to A5 remain a priority in receiving the jabs such as frontliners, senior citizens, persons with comorbidities, workers in essential sectors and indigenous people.

City Mayor Florencio “Doc Boy” T. Flores, Jr. has been in the forefront of this health crisis since day one ensuring critical response being carried out based on the available resources and capacity of the City. Despite the long queues at ESA, he thanked the public for answering the call to get inoculated for protection of this deadly virus.

In the coming weeks, Mayor Flores is expecting a steady increase of total number of vaccines deployed since we hit more than 80,000 doses administered as of October 15, 2021.
