The City Government of Malaybalay, through the City Administrator’s Office (CAdminO)- Organizational Development Division (ODD), spearheaded a consultative meeting on the 2023 citizens charter (first edition) on March 13, 2023, at the Conference Room, City Hall, Casisang, Malaybalay City.

This was participated in by the farmers, solo parents, public utility vehicle groups, youth sector, business sector, Liga ng mga Barangay, women’s, Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs, and Persons with Disabilities, heads, and representatives of the different external stakeholders within the city of Malaybalay.

City Administrator, Atty. Anna Marie R. Bergado, led the consultative meeting on the discussion of gaps, issues, and concerns to improve future services in the implementation of the 2023 citizen’s charter.

In her message, she stressed that “Ang pinaka bible sa atong pag panerbisyo is the citizen’s charter, kay basehanan kana sa mga clients ug customers kung sakto ba ang panerbisyo nato nga anaa sa gobyerno.”

The participants were also asked issues, concerns, suggestions, and recommendations for the different offices in order to improve the city government services.

City Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran, who also graced the event, stated in his message that “With our time, I hope with your help maka produce ta og simple Citizen’s Charter nga masabtan sa tawo, at least kung unsa man ang atong product karon, makatabang kini sa mga katawhan sa Malaybalay.”

Further, he also reminded everyone the importance of a citizen’s charter. “It is important because we have now the opportunity, chance, and time to raise the standards high. Although it’s not a perfect system, at least we are moving forward,” he added.

The event aims to produce the 2023 citizen’s charter first edition, taking into consideration its stakeholders, users, and beneficiaries.

Also, this will give the citizens assurance and commitment in providing efficient, consistent, and high-quality services that are concise, informative, complete, and well-crafted for the betterment of the people of Malaybalay.
