City Government of Malaybalay holds simultaneous bombing drill


In line with the National Disaster Consciousness Month, the City Government of Malaybalay, through the coordination of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC), planned a significant disaster specific bombing drills. The scenarios, designed to heighten public awareness of proper responses in such incidents, is part of the month-long celebration, anchored on the theme: “Kahandaan at Kaligtasan ng Pamayanan, Pundasyon ng Kaunlaran.”drill


Situated at the main thoroughfare of the city, simulation drills of two separate bombing incidents were staged at Bukidnon State University Campus and Jose Un commercial building. The prepped incidents were participated by our local responders, Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Army (PA) personnel, students and other volunteers from civic organizations.

Malaybalay gears up for the 137th Foundation Day

City Government of Malaybalay outlines various activities in celebration of the 137th Araw ng Malaybalay anchored on a theme, “INCLUSIVE GROWTH: We Can, We Will.” A kick-off activity, a fun-run dubbed “Pulaguy Ta” will be conducted on June 7. The rest of activities are slated on June 8 to 15, 2014.

On June 14, will be the culmination program of the celebration which will be participated by city officials and employees. The program will be graced by an invited resource speaker aims to inspire our continued growth in progress and development over the years together with our rich history and culture.

The celebration also aims to promote our awareness of being an established pueblo (town) on June 15, 1887 under the Spanish regime named as “Oroquita del Interior” as evident in our “Ereccion del Pueblo” landmark at Plaza Rizal.

Also, the City Government will host a flag caravan and celebratory program of the 116th Philippine Independence on June 12, 2014 at Plaza Rizal to commemorate our country’s independence and pays tribute to the fallen heroes who fought for our freedom.
