In a noteworthy event held at Damitan, Dalwangan, Malaybalay City, the Daraghuyan Tribal Village, a joint project initiated by the City Government of Malaybalay, under the proactive leadership of Hon. Mayor Jay Warren Pabillaran, and the National Housing Authority (NHA), represented by District Manager Engr. Madeleine Gilda Abellera and OIC-Regional Manager Engr. Homer Cezar.

This project, consisting of 40 housing units, commenced during the term of the late Mayor Florencio Doc Boy Flores and was diligently ensured for completion by Mayor Warren Pabillaran, who secured the necessary counterpart funding. The initiative received steadfast support from the 8th and 9th Sanggunian Panlungsod, led by Vice Mayor Estelito Marabe and its members.

The event commenced with a traditional ritual led by Bae Inatlawan Adelina Tarino, a chieftain of the Daraghuyan tribes, infusing cultural significance into the proceedings.

The program was graced by the presence of Councilors Brian Flores, Erwin Winky Damasco, Alan Ryann Manoy Legaspi, and Melchor Boy Maramara.

Attending the program were the 40 beneficiaries from the Daraghuyan Tribes, headed by their tribal chieftain, along with representatives from the Governor’s Office and invited guest NGOs.

The Daraghuyan Tribal Village showcased a model house, which was inaugurated during the event. The landscaping and interior design were meticulously handled by the housing staff.

This significant milestone reflects the collaborative efforts of the local government and the National Housing Authority, providing sustainable housing solutions for the Daraghuyan tribe.
