The Barangay Government of Simaya, Malaybalay City, led by Barangay Captain Hon. Nimfa V. Bautista, celebrated their 73rd Araw ng Simaya. One of the highlights of the celebration was the culminating program entitled Harvest Festival, held on March 12, 2024.

The activity included street dancing and a ground presentation at their barangay covered court, with a total of four group presenters whose members hailed from the 11 puroks of the barangay.

All presentations depicted stories of abundant rice harvests, which are common in the barangay due to its wide expanse of rice fields and the presence of Mt. Capistrano. Each group performed their original choreography, adorned in various costumes and props, showcasing creativity. Ultimately, the 1st Group, comprised of members from Purok 3, 9, and 10, was declared the overall champion.

Hon. Bautista extended invitations to Supervising Tourism Operations Officer Ms. Honolu Marie C. Cruzin and Senior Tourism Operations Officer Mr. Marven Jan A. Nadela of the City Tourism Office to serve as judges, alongside two others, for both the street and ground presentation competitions.
