The Technical Working Group on the Formulation of Economic Enterprise Code of the City of Malaybalay has conducted a 3-Day Seminar-Workshop on June 10-12, 2022.

Held at the Apple Tree Resort & Hotel, Opo, Misamis Oriental, the terminal objective is to revisit and finalize the drafted City Economic Enterprise Code to generate and augment LGU revenues and provide wider access to goods and services. This activity is one of the major development economic initiatives initiated by CEEDMO and supported under the leadership of City Mayor Warren R. Pabillaran.

Eileen O. Gamo as the Resource Speaker took part in achieving the objective of the group by providing things to consider as well as assisting the team.

Councilor Louel Tortola, Chairperson of the EE-TWG is optimistic that with the collaborative effort of the EE-TWG the said ordinance will be formulated and implemented the soonest time possible.

City Economic Enterprise Development & Management Office (CEEDMO) Designate Mr. Romeo R. Lapeciros, Jr., stated that the Economic Enterprise (EE) Ordinance will serve as the main anchor to manage the existing economic enterprises (EEs) and the proposed EEs of the City of Malaybalay.

Given the approval and implementation of the Economic Enterprise Code/Ordinance, CEEDMO will now have its guide and basis for revenue measures and strategies that would help augment the financial capability of the City of Malaybalay, Lapeciros added.

The participants were Councilors Hollis Monsanto, Bonifacio Valiente, and OIC City Administrator Atty. Anna Marie Bergado, OIC/CGS Officer Dioscora Niere, OIC-CEO Engr. Leo Rustan Dela Cerna, City Budget Officer Arlene Ho, CPD Coordinator Engr. Adrian Gamboa, City Agriculturist Remedious Sarzuelo, and BPL Officer Arthuro Callao.
