The City Government of Malaybalay was lauded for its outstanding achievements at the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) PAGDAYEG Stakeholders Awards at Robinson’s Place Valencia City on December 9, 2023.

Malaybalay City’s impressive performance in the 2022 Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index (CMCI) survey receives recognition, where it secured the 20th position as Most Improved Component City among 114 participating entries.

The CMCI survey, a comprehensive assessment of local government units, evaluates cities and municipalities based on five key pillars: Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, Infrastructure, Resiliency, and Innovation. Malaybalay City’s remarkable rise to the 20th spot reflects its commendable scores across these pillars, showcasing its commitment to holistic development.

The PAGDAYEG Stakeholders Awards, organized by the DTI, celebrate the achievements of cities and municipalities in various aspects of governance and competitiveness. Malaybalay City’s recognition highlights its dedication to excellence and its continuous efforts to enhance the quality of life for its residents ###LCRM.
