The City Health Office’s (CHO) Mental Health Program, in collaboration with midwives and nurses, conducted an orientation on the Mental Health Gap Action Programme (mhGAP) at The Garden Party Venue in Barangay 1, Malaybalay City, on March 25, 2024.

The orientation aims to enhance mental health services for individuals with Mental, Neurological, and Substance Use (MNS) disorders.

By adhering to the provisions of RA 11036, also known as the Mental Health Act, the CHO’s Mental Health Program focuses on promoting, preventing, and treating mental, neurological, and substance use disorders.

Through this initiative, the CHO is geared to scale up its services and ensure that individuals in need receive the necessary support and treatment for their mental health conditions.

The orientation provided valuable insights and strategies to better serve MNS patients and service users.
