Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) Malaybalay City Federation held its 3rd quarter meeting on July 8, 2023, at The Garden in Barangay 1, Malaybalay City. The meeting was attended by City Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran, PYAP officers and members, and representatives from the CSWDO-Youth Welfare staff.
During the gathering, Mayor Pabillaran addressed the federation and challenged them to be catalysts of change. He also provided an opportunity for the officers to ask questions and express their concerns regarding the welfare of the youth.
The agenda for the meeting included several important topics. First, there was an evaluation of the PYAP Fun Run, a fundraising activity that took place on July 1, 2023, at Capitol Grounds in Malaybalay City. Darius Leo Castada, the PYAP Sumpung President and head event organizer, presented the successful accomplishment of the Fun Run.
Another significant item on the agenda was the discussion of the PYAP Outreach Program. The meeting participants talked about the plans for an upcoming outreach program for Indigenous People (IP) children, scheduled to take place on July 21, 2023, in Barangay Bangcud. This program will be one of the beneficiaries of the funds raised during the Fun Run.
The meeting also focused on preparations for the PYAP’s 49th regional anniversary, which will be held in Lanao del Norte from July 25 to 28, 2023. The federation decided to participate in all the contests and activities organized by the region.
The meeting proved to be a productive and inspiring session, fostering a sense of unity and commitment among the participants in their mission to serve the youth and contribute to positive change in the community.
